Two Weeks in a Picture Review

The last two weeks have been thrilling. Jeff came back and has mostly had part days at work. I could not be happier!

Our Welcome Back signs for Jeff. Max and Gwen's sign says "Daddy is my Superhero" but with the beautiful shiny paper (Gwen picked it out) it is a little hard to read.

We went to Waffle House the next morning for breakfast!

Gwen is potty training. Ducky is wearing underwear too.

We have been to lots of parks and the Renaissance fair that came to town.

Yep, good times all around.

My Hideout

Slightly fuzzy pictures because I took them on my phone but you get the idea.
Love it, I can walk in and find anything. Makes stash diving and mending so much more pleasant.

Kid's Event

I don't even know what this event was called but it was on base and hosted by the YMCA. Anyway there was a trackless train.

And a reptile guy with pythons that did not mind 25 children running around the room

Balloons floating on the ceiling

Max loved the snakes (Gwen did too she just liked the balloons better)

And free snow cones!

Watching the Golden Knights Not Jump

Due to a poorly timed windy day. The Golden Knights (display paratroopers from the 82nd) could not do their jump at Max's school last week.
They talked to the kids and Max and Gwen "helped" pack a parachute.

Fort Bragg Children's Fair

On Saturday we went to the the Children's Fair at the Fort Bragg fairgrounds. It was the perfect size,  10 rides (all of which both of them to go on), a couple of food stands and vehicles to inspect.

They loved the rides. It worked out just about perfectly because Max is a little nervous and Gwen is a little brave so they agreed on which rides to go on. Gwen is just over 36 inches and Max was under 48inches! (I could not have planned it better if I tried)

I have no idea why there are flying bananas. But they went on this one twice and giggled the whole time. Quick loading time = short lines.
There were various vehicles army stuff and one fire truck. All the soldiers were sweet to every kid who came up to see the vehicles. I have no idea what vehicles they are, I can tell you everyone of them shoots farther and faster then the others (according to the soldiers at each one).

Max learned how to plot a firing solution in this one. Gwen had the steering wheel.

Max could spin these pretty well.

One more time on the horses before snack.
 Nachos and Sweet Tea!
Gwen fell asleep in the 5 minutes it took to drive home.

Spring Fling: Afternoon in the park with cookie decorating, Easter egg hunt and BBQ hot dogs!

After minimal effort and maximum frosting application Max and Gwen enjoyed their cookies.

There was an easter egg hunt for 1 to 3 years old, Gwen rocked it.

Max, and all the other 4-5 year olds got a head start in the big kid hunt. He was quick to grab then up before the bigger kids even got out of the gate.

Loot acquired and stuffed with cookies, hotdogs, cupcakes and chips we headed home.

The beasties are both looking tan, I am looking more like sun burned :(
