Max's Easter Vest Technically

I have been working on this vest for over a year. I bought the yarn for it at the Madrona Fiber Arts Convention we taught at last year and immediately cast it on. As I designed it there were up and down moments when issues would arise be solved and resurface.

Any way I love it now and actually it works out well that it was not ready last year as it would have been huge on him.

There are four intarsia diamonds on the front but the striping on the front is from the yarn changing color after so many yards. I love this yarn the black is deep and the blues have a variation to them. I think it is called Goth Socks from Rainy Days and Dirty Dogs.

The back is linen stitch with three yarns switching every row; black, cream and medium to dark blue/teal. The edgings are the same medium to dark blue/teal from the back in a stitch pattern I adore called Rick-Rack Ribbing
(I know that was all extremely technical but some people care, I hope)

Anyway here is Max's Easter Vest!

But what about Gwen, you are thinking.......ummmmmm yeah I am going to be up late tonight. (Easter Egg hunt at Fircrest Golf Club at 10 am tomorrow morning)
